oh i'm not using that arguement as an excuse to fight wars. But my point is this: war = massive spending and debt. its the way it is, and always will be. get over it.

i'm living a pretty darn good life.

who's complaining?

Damon: You're correct, but it's not an excuse either. This administration fully put us into war, and kept us there. World War II is a war we got sucked into. You could try to argue that with this war, but we're going after the wrong people then.

And as for spending money, and we will always be in debt...this may be true. But the more you increase the debt, the weaker our dollar becomes. This makes trade bad for us since things then cost more...so you're screwed that way also.

BTW...I love spending money. And like national debt means anything...we will always be in "debt" no matter what. So will every other country in the world.

It is impossible to be fiscally conservative during a time of war. WWII nearly bankrupted our country. should we have stopped fighting because of that?

The whole problem here, is that our current administration isn't fiscally responsible. The war is costing a lot of money, plus a lot of other wasted money.

Anyone who comes into power in the next 4-6 years is going to have to raise taxes to cover this. It just so happens Democrats are going to be in power at this time, and also have a history of raising taxes.

The other problem is that most tax breaks/increases aren't going to effect your paycheck in that much at all. More than likely we'll see an increase on taxes on the upper and mid-to-upper class, and things like estate taxes.

The economy can't keep going this way with the government going so deep in debt, someone's going to have to fix that. Generally I am fiscally conservative, however our current administration is definitely not.
